As always, Skillet delivered an album I will be jamming to for a long time. My favorite song is “This is the Kingdom”.

You may have some more memorizing to do! Love the album! It’s “legendary”. Some of the same fist pumping sound with some new sounds mixed in. Guitar on Legendary is amazing!!!!

Skillet is by far and away my favorite band. And this album only confirms that even more. I see reviews saying that skillet needs to change. Why? They have had more success in the past three years than ever before. I love their music because it’s a mix of faith and rock and roll. As for the common question of what are we fighting against, authority, inner demons, the devil himself. Whatever it may be we each fight our own battles. To make a short review short, if you’re a true panhead, not a fake fan who wants them to change when they are succeeding, this is a perfect album for you.

Ok, so what is Skillet known for... Epic energetic Rock songs that uplift the downhearted, urges the lost to not give up and fight to overcome the world’s crap that is thrown at us everyday. It’s inspirational heavy rock. This album embraces exactly what Skillet is. It’s great for a band to find their calling and sound and not go all weird trying to morph into what they are not. Their fans love them for their uplifting mega songs. This album has some fantastic themes and I love the deeper guitar punch. If you have never seen Skillet live, you have to go. One of the best live shows ever.

First of all, to the band, love your work and have from the beginning. You’ve always stayed true to the message and lived it out as well. Keep pressing!!! Second, to those that miss their message, please look at the gospels and notice the way Christ spoke. He always spoke a parabolic message of hope to the people. He used what was common to them and made the Kingdom message applicable. The Truth is simple when spoken in love. It’s when we become like an octopus, waving in all directions that people run away. Who wouldn’t?!?!? Finally, just like the channels on a tv, you can always change it or turn it off. That’s the beauty of freedom. So instead of sounding like James and John(asking Jesus if they should call down fire from Heaven to burn up people spreading the Gospel), heed Jesus’ word to them... Whoever isn’t against us is for us! OneLove...

Same old tired formula as the last album. Generic beats, empty lyrics, and same old guitar work. Skillet is beginning to look like an annual sports video game. Same thing as last time just a shiny new coat of paint that runs off as soon as you open the case.
  • God Rock!!!!
